1. Acceptance
By booking or paying for a rental with Aero Tours Car Rental (“Aero Tours”, “we”) via our Website, phone, or WhatsApp,
the Customer (“you”) agrees to these Terms and our Privacy Policy below, together with any rental agreement signed at
vehicle handover.
2. Eligibility & Driving Licence
• Main and Additional Drivers must be 21+ (25+ for SUV/luxury/van, at our discretion), hold a full licence for 2+ years,
and present a valid passport/NIC.
• Non-Sri Lankan licence holders need an International Driving Permit endorsed by the AA Sri Lanka, or a
Temporary Sri Lankan Driving Licence from the Dept. of Motor Traffic.
• We may refuse any booking or handover where documents appear invalid or the driver appears impaired.
3. Booking, Rates & Payment
• A booking is confirmed only once we issue a Booking Confirmation and receive any required advance payment.
• Rates exclude fuel, chauffeur fee, tolls/fines, excess mileage, and out-of-hours/one-way fees unless stated
otherwise.
• Online payments are processed by our licensed, PCI-DSS compliant Payment Gateway [insert gateway name].
Aero Tours never receives or stores your full card number, CVV, or PIN — this is handled solely by the Gateway.
• Balance payment is due in cash or by card at handover unless prepaid online.
4. Security Deposit
A refundable deposit (cash or card hold, in the Main Driver’s name) is required [typically USD 200–800 depending on
vehicle], released within 3–7 business days after return, less any damage, fines, or fuel shortfall.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
• 7+ days before pick-up: full refund (less gateway fees).
• 72 hrs–7 days: 50% refund.
• Under 72 hrs / no-show: advance payment forfeited.
6. Fuel, Mileage & Vehicle Use
• “Full-to-full” fuel policy; shortfalls are charged back.
• Distance allowances apply to some vehicles; excess km charged per the Booking Confirmation.
• Vehicles stay in Sri Lanka, on paved roads, driven only by authorised drivers; no racing, towing, sub-letting, or
unlawful use. Breach ends the rental without refund.
7. Insurance, Damage & Liability
• Basic third-party cover applies, subject to an excess [amount to be confirmed]; the Customer is fully liable if
insurance is void (e.g. unauthorised driver, DUI, misuse, unreported incident).
• Report accidents to Police (119) and Aero Tours (+94 76 350 5850) immediately; do not admit fault or arrange
third-party repairs without our consent.
• Aero Tours’ total liability is capped at the rental fees paid; we are not liable for indirect loss, except where caused
by our proven negligence.
8. Fines, Late Return & Force Majeure
Aero Tours Car Rental — Terms & Privacy | Page 1Traffic fines/tolls are the Customer’s responsibility. Late return beyond 1 hour incurs an additional day’s charge. Aero
Tours is not liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control (weather, unrest, government restrictions,
etc.).
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, with disputes subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. We
may update these Terms; the version live at booking applies.
